WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE:
The importance of composition lies in the fact that by ordering the visual message, we enable the viewer to have a clearer reading of the image and thus have a better understanding of the message we want to convey.
On the other hand, knowing the characteristics of photographic language allows us to construct our message with more precision and gives us the possibility of expressing ourselves visually in a more precise way.
It is important to understand that composition is important for all types of photographs; portraits, still lifes, landscapes, street photography, reportage, gastronomy, etc.
Like any language, photography has its own characteristics, and understanding them will allow us to express ourselves visually with complete fullness. Furthermore, students are guided to become the protagonists in constructing their visual proposals, receiving instructions to generate the visual message.

DAY 1
IN THE MORNING: (Theory)
VISUAL LANGUAGE - The sign, the symbol. The iconic. The first creative act. Composition: the relationship between content and form. Balance and harmony. Photographic grammar. Rules of composition, from the rule of thirds to lines.
IN THE AFTERNOON: (Practice)
Two still lifes will be created, and we will have two people available for portraits. After I take the photographs, the students, divided into groups, will take photos of the still lifes and the people, following certain compositional guidelines. They can work with natural light, flash, or both.
DAY 2
IN THE MORNING: (Theory and practice).
Genres in Photography. Black and White and Color. Photographic Language, Modes of Expression. Sender, Message, Receiver. An Approach to the Photographic Act. The Functions of Photographic Language.
IN THE AFTERNOON: (Practice).
With all the knowledge of composition and the guidelines of photographic language, participants will be divided into groups and will plan a still life and a conceptual portrait. The idea is for participants to grapple with the challenge of developing the concept and executing two types of photographs that will put their acquired knowledge of composition into practice.
Students will need to bring items to create their still life displays. Those from other cities can team up with local participants or, together with others, purchase items to create their displays.
Event Communication
The organization will have the support of my communications team, who are dedicated to creating promotional banners and running Facebook and Instagram campaigns. They will also build a database of interested parties who can be contacted directly.
It is extremely important that the organizer has a database or knowledge of groups of photographers where more information can be distributed in order to promote the workshops offered and that he himself promotes all the activities that will be carried out.
