"A PATH TO ART"

Querétaro, August 11-14

In this video I explain what "A path to art" is.

Art is the intention of a human being to transmit their emotions through the creation of an aesthetic work that represents those same emotions.
A photographer must master technique, understand composition, lighting, and editing, in order to develop all kinds of projects involving images. By harnessing our creativity (through specific processes), we will see the images we visualize in our minds materialized. We will be able to translate ideas and concepts into images.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE:

A PATH TO ART is a workshop that will give you the tools to develop your skills in any branch of photography. You'll be able to do street photography, landscapes, still lifes, reportage, design allegorical scenes, and more.

Over these four days, you'll learn to develop an idea, searching for a concept. You'll learn to compose the image, light it, and finalize it with editing—yes, the entire process!

We'll talk about creativity, composition, lighting, and editing. Four basic pillars of photography.

Workshop Dynamics
The workshop is based on first establishing theoretical knowledge and then putting it into practical application.
On the first day of class, we'll explore what creativity is and how to apply a creative process to achieve creative results. We'll also learn how to use the tools provided by Visual Language to structure images with specific meanings. This is the conception stage. We'll learn to plan and then execute our shot.
During the shoot, we'll work on composition and lighting, exploring the "why" behind each decision and where it leads us. We'll also decide what to focus on during the shoot and what to leave for post-production.

The students will carry out individual and group exercises throughout the four days, applying the different skills they will learn during the camp.

Living arrangement. We will be in a separate, magnificent space where we will share breakfasts, lunches and dinners, in addition to 8 hours of intensive classes each day.
Classes will be from 9am to 6pm. But the talks will extend beyond the workshops.

The meeting will be held at the "TIERRA DE ALONSO" winery in Querétaro, Mexico.

There we will have all the necessary amenities to carry out the workshop, in a theoretical and practical way, thanks to
to the locations we have on site. We can also enjoy excellent cuisine and relax in comfortable rooms.

Your registration fee includes everything: accommodation (three nights), food (breakfast,
lunch and dinner (except for dinner on Thursday) and top-level training.

What equipment should I bring to the workshop?
For the practical sessions, you'll need your camera and at least one lens, preferably a short telephoto lens (this could be a prime lens like 70mm, 85mm, or 105mm, or a zoom lens like 70-200mm, 70-300mm, 24-105mm, etc.). In addition to your camera, lens, and chosen flashes, remember that students will be divided into groups, and each group must have some flash stands, tripods, and modifiers (softboxes, octoboxes, etc.), and at least one laptop per group. Keep this in mind if you're coming from another city. If you can't transport these items due to logistical reasons, don't worry; others in the group will likely be able to contribute equipment.
